What is the GDPR?

The GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It was adopted in April 2016 and refers to the rules of how all data of European residents are managed. Responsibility

The controller has the responsibility to prove that he/she takes all appropriate organizational and technical measures for the protection of personal data and that he/she complies with the GDPR.

Codes of conduct

The development of codes of conduct by controllers is encouraged and submitted to the supervisory authority for approval. In the case of trans-European activity, the opinion of the European Data Protection Council is also sought. Codes of conduct are optional.

Certification

The establishment of certification mechanisms, seals, and data protection marks is encouraged to demonstrate compliance with the GPA or to demonstrate the provision of appropriate guarantees during processing. Certification is voluntary.
